Use Khao Khad to identify the tower
The Thailand Tourism Directory places Khao Khad View Point near Ao Makham and Cape Panwa. Its observation tower offers a broad panorama including Chalong Bay, Panwa, Siray and Phuket Town. Use the Khao Khad name and an exact pin when arranging a visit. “Panwa viewpoint” can otherwise be read as a general coastal outlook, and it is not the Karon Three Bay viewpoint.
Understand what a tower visit involves
The government entry describes a hilltop observation tower and a nature trail. Confirm the current approach, tower access and any stairs that affect your group before travelling. Facilities mentioned in a directory may not all be available when you arrive, so check essential requirements separately. A listing that describes access by car does not establish that the final route to the viewing level is step-free.
Plan around the visibility and journey
Check current weather near departure if the panorama is the main reason for visiting. Agree a specific pickup point and a realistic waiting arrangement, especially if your driver is not staying. Keep your plan flexible if visibility is poor or a visitor area is closed. You do not need to replace a changed view with another long drive simply to preserve an ambitious itinerary.
Choose a distinct part of the island
This is an option for seeing Phuket from the Panwa side rather than repeating west-coast bay views. Compare it with Khao Rang for a town-focused day and Promthep Cape for a southern headland. Our viewpoint planning guide helps connect the choice to your accommodation and transport, so the outlook and the journey feel like one manageable outing.
