A beach base, not just an airport label
The provincial guide places Nai Yang near Phuket’s airport and describes a casuarina-lined setting. That gives it two different planning roles: a short stay around a flight, or a beach base for a longer visit. Keep those purposes separate. A room chosen only for an early departure may not be the room you would choose for a month of work, cooking and ordinary errands.
Confirm the transfer anyway
Being in the airport area does not establish a walkable airport route, a shuttle service or a fixed journey time. Give the accommodation your actual arrival details and ask for the pickup arrangement. Confirm where to meet, how a delayed flight is handled and what the transfer costs. For departure, agree the timing with the transport provider using current conditions and the requirements of your flight.
Plan a comfortable beach day
Check the route from your entrance to the beach, and follow current local signs and instructions. The provincial tourism description provides geographical background, not a present-day inventory of facilities or a water-condition assessment. Bring what your outing needs and leave room to change plans. If you are entering managed or protected areas, check the current rules and any applicable fees directly before visiting.
Compare the room over the whole stay
For a longer booking, add kitchen equipment, laundry, cooling and shopping routes to the checklist. Compare Nai Thon and Mai Khao if you want to stay in northern Phuket but have not settled on a particular address. Use your actual quotes in the budget worksheet and include any repeated journeys to activities elsewhere on the island.
